Mzansi Mama Project

Why it Started

Mzansi Mama began as a way to document my kids’ adventures, share budget-friendly activities, and post the occasional mom tip. But as our community grew, I kept hearing the same thing: “I don’t have a village.” I started this project to change that – one act of kindness at a time. Every month, we bless a South African mama with support (like a grocery voucher) and a whole lot of love from this community. It’s a small way to say, we see you, you matter, and you’re not alone.

How it works

1. Nominate yourself or a mama who could use a boost.
2. Share a short story – what she’s going through and why this blessing would help.
3. Selection & announcement: Nominations open on the 1st of every month and the chosen mama is announced on the last day of the month.
4. Blessing delivered: We arrange the blessing and share an update with the community (only if the mom is comfortable).
